The last 4 months.
Wow, this year has flown by so fast and it is almost May. Here is some of the highlights of what has been taken place with out family so far.
January:
The twins went back to school after the Christmas vacation and we were excited that our routine would get back to normal. on January 26th, my sister gave birth to her second child and her second daughter Dakota. We were so excited for her arrival. My sisters pregnancy for her last 10 weeks was not fun. She was put on bed rest to prevent pre-term labor and our niece Willow has to be cared to both sets of grandparents. On the day of Dakota's birth, Ashleigh and I were able to go to the hospital to visit. Ashleigh was so excited to meet and hold her new cousin. She was also very curious of all the things the nurse was doing to the baby and my sister while we were there visiting.
This is Ashleigh holding her new cousin Dakota.
Ashleigh took this picture.
February:
We finally got Joshua potty trained except for night training, but we were happy with that. The twins, had a valentine party at school. I was able to help out in Ashleigh's class for their party. The twins were so excited to come home and look at all the valentine cards with goodies they got from their classmates and friends. We all got sick but Chris got it the worse. He ended up getting the influenza and had to take 4 days off from work and with a small place we did the best we could to take care of him and not get it ourselves. I was lucky to not catch it with being 8 months pregnant.
Joshua and Matthew have a special relationship as brothers and we often find Joshua wanting to cuddle or be near Matthew.
March:
March ended up being a very busy month. After trying to recover from illnesses we have had every month since November, we tried to focus on everyone being healthy and getting ready for Ethan's arrival in April, but Matthew ended up getting the influenza.
On March 12th I turned 33, and the only big things that happened to me that day was I had my doctors appointment and he scheduled my c-section for April 17th.
On March 13th, Joshua turned 4. I cannot believe how fast time has flown. It only seemed like yesterday that I was pregnant with him and yet we celebrated his 4th birthday and getting ready for a new baby. For our children's birthdays, we as a family usually go to Chuckie Cheese (which they love) but because of the reading program at school, the twins came home with coupons to go bowling at Fat Cats, so we went there instead. The kids have never been bowling and they had a blast.
On March 14th, Chris and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. I am amazed how 9 years and 3.5 children has improved both of our lives. Our marriage is easy at time and difficult at others but we still love each other and look forward to the rest of our lives together. Chris is my best friend and I am lucky to be married to him.
On March 17th, we went over to my sisters house to celebrate Joshua's birthday as well as our niece Willows who happens to have the same birthday except she was born a year earlier.
My brother in law got a pinata for the kids.
Matthew and Joshua meeting Dakota for the first time.
My sisters cute family. Jen, Tim, Willow and Dakota.
Joshua's birthday clothes.
Joshuas spiderman birthday cake.
In the middle of the month, Matthew and Ashleighs classes had SEP (which are parent teacher conferences). There teachers said really good things about the kids and they twins are doing really well in school which makes me proud and I feel like I am doing something good with them.
On March 26th, I went to my doctors appointment and after working too many long hours at work, being swollen, and at 36 weeks being 2 centemters dialated and 50% effaced that I needed to be taken off work and put on moderate bedrest. He also did not want me to go into full labor so that I would not split open my scar from my 2 c-sections.
April:
The first weekend in April was General Conference and the kids and I stayed in the house and watched it. I almost went to the hospital because I kept having contractions but the eventually went away for awhile.
The first week in April, the twins were on spring break. Unfortuantely with my moderate bed rest, I was not able to do much except for make meals and be on the couch. I felt bad for them that I could not take them anywhere or do anything exciting with them, but they were pretty understanding and very well behaved.
The second weekend of April was Easter. Saturday night after the kids went to bed, I hid Easter eggs throughout the condo for them to find when they woke up. Sunday morning, the were busy with the goodies and a couple of dollar store toys they got. It was a very warm weekend, and I was feeling misrable and was very swollen. I decided to got to church but just to sacrament and the a few minutes in primary to help Ashleigh with her talk then went home.
My boss got Ashleigh her dress and the suits are from their grandparents Camacho back at Christmas.
On April 9th, Ethan Alexander Camacho made his arrival. (More on that in another pos
