Some family fun.

I know that it has been a few weeks since I last updated our blog. We have just been keeping busy with work and raising our kids, plus everyday life. But here are some highlights of what we have been up too.

It Salt Lake City there is a mall called the Gateway and there they have the children's museum. We bought a season pass for the kids for a year which expires in September. We will usually take them a few times a month. It is a great place to take the kids because it is a safe place where they can play, have imagination and get worn out by all the fun.

They have a old air med helicopter that Matthew loves to go play at.

Joshua playing with the cash register at the grocery store.

Ashleigh also play in the helicopter.

Then a couple of Saturday's ago, we took the kids to see Toy Stroy 3. Our kids especially Joshua LOVES Toy Story, so we thought it would be fun to take them. This was the third movie we have ever taken them to see. 1st being The Princess and the Frog and the 2nd being Shrek Forever. Both those times the twins made many bathroom trips and Joshua was not very attentive during Shrek, but for Toy Story 3 they all sat and watched it, no bathroom breaks. Matthew thought it was cool, Joshua had a smile, Ashleigh love the barbie and ken scenes but was scared of the waste facility scenes, and at the end I cried. But over all it was a great movie, and the kids have been asking to go see it again.

The kids in the theater with their 3D glasses on before the movie started.

That same day in the evening, our family went to a ward members backyard for a bbq for the chior members. The older couple the Winters who was hosting the bbq had this fun tree that Matthew and Ashleigh just HAD to climb.

At our condo complex we have access to a swimming pool and the kids love going swimming and have already been there a few times this summer.

The this last Saturday, I took the kids to my parents wonderful fenced backyard and my sister brought her little girl Willow who is 3 to play with them. There is lots of fun things to do: play in the sand, ride bikes, play with balls, and of course play with water. My dad bought a little pool and filled it with water and the 4 children thought it would be fun to take sand buckets and fill them up the proceed to dump them on each others heads.

My dad has a wheel barrel that he filled up with water and gave the kids a ride around the yard in, expect Joshua is terified of it and won't go in.

Running around in the sprinklers and covering the sprinklers with the sand buckets.

Ashleigh got cold, so my mom laid a towel on the patio and told her to lay on it in the sun to warm up.

So far we are having a fun summer. I hope you are all having a fun summer too.

You guys sound like you are having a great summer. How about adding some more fun to your summer?!?!? We are planning on being in Draper/SLC on July 23-25 and would love to see you guys. Hopefully we can work something out (I still need to invite ourselves over to Grandma and Grandpa Smith's house).

Good times at the Jensen house so far. We loved Discovery Gateway until they started letting big kids come in for school field Trips. It made me so angry I didn't renew our pass. Oh well. I think we much prefer the zoo any day. Ah, summer fun. You're lucky to have access to a big fun pool, too.
