Saturday, Joshua turned 15 months old. Yesterday, he went to Dr. Molberg's for his well check up. He messured 30 1/2 inches (25%), weighed 22.3 lbs (25%) and Head was 48 cir (75%). He has just grown so fast and it is hard to believe that he was once 5.1 lbs and 18 inches long at birth.
At the well check appointments we are given papers that talk about his development and what he should be doing the next 3 months.
They include:
Daily Activities
1). Avidly Explores Everything: He does this everywhere
2). Revels in water play: He loves bathtime
3). Likes to feed himself: he usually reaches for the object when we help feed him
4). Begins to use more objects conventionally (comb in hair): He loves to comb his hair
5). Enjoys throwing, rolling, pushing and pulling toys.: He loves to play with a ball and can throw and kick it.
Motor Skills:
1). Stands unsupported: he prefers to stand
2). Walks without assistance with wide stance and outstrected arms. : He runs
3). Climbs stairs with assistance: Yes he can just gets tire fast going up our stairs.
4). Refines grasps
5). Picks up objests from a standing position: He definitely can do this
Language skills:
1). Adds gestures to speech: He'll point and says "Whats that"
2). Prefers adults to other children: He usually wants to be with the twins because they make enough noise.
3). Likes to watch and imitate activities: He is always following us around and after whatever the kids are playing with. He also will bring the play phones and tv remote to his ear.
Cognitive (Thinking and Learning) Development
1). Looks to parent for help in solving problems
2). Learns cause-effect relationship (repaets enjoyable actions): anyone who sits behind us in church knows he loves to drop things on the floor to see who will pick it up for him.
3). Looks for hidden objects in last place seen.
4). Begins to experiment through trial and error.
He is such a great little boy and brother in our family. His smile is sweet and he just lights a room with it. We are greatful that he is in our home. Here is to another great 3 months with him.

It's just so fun and yet so sad when they grow older! Each milestone is special and fun and trying, too! Enjoy him while you can! At 18 months Isaac did a 180 and turned naughty. Sad my little 100% angel is gone..now he's more like 70% angel.
