To the rescue

The last three June's have ended not so great. Two years ago, my husband and I attended a wedding reception of our down stairs neighbor. Their reception was near my parents home, so we decided that we would drop the twins off at my parents home so they could play in the backyard. When we were getting ready to leave, Chris picked up the diaper bag and Matthew. As he was getting Matthew, Matthew somehow flew over Chris's arm and landed face first on to my parents' cement padio. We ended up going to Primaries that weekend to have CT's done on his head, have his eye checked out among other things, luckily everything turned out ok.
This is what it looked like the morning after.

This is what it looked like a week after. It looked like a black eye for a couple of months and the red cheek to a year to fade. But now he is all better.

Last year, It was the last Sunday of the month. I was debating on whether to go to church or not because I was really tired. The twins were in nursery and loved it, so I decided to go and take them to nursery because they loved nursery. Before I left for church, I could smell smoke coming from my swamp cooler and thought that it was just bring the smell in from a fire that was caused by a train the day before. We had just finished Sunday School and headed to 3rd hour, when a member of our ward came in and told us our building was on fire. It started on the opposite end of the building and they got it our before it reached my side, but unfortunately since I was not home, our door got kicked in.

So, today I thought that we would get through another June without issues. Boy was I wrong!!!! This morning I thought that is would be nice to make smoothies for myself and the children. As I got it together I had found that the blender was not working, so I loaded the children and went to our local walmart to buy a new one. After we were done with our purchases, we proceeded to go to the car. I opened the driver seat and set my purse and keys on the seat and shut the door. I opened the sliding door for the twins to get into the car, then went around to put Joshua in his seat. Ashleigh climb into the driver seat and I told her to get into hers. I shut Joshua's door and went around to get the twins buckled in, and shut the door. I then went to put the stroller in the back and found it locked. So I proceeded to go to the driver door and found Ashleigh has locked the car and the doors were all shut with the children belted into their seats and the keys in the car.
I did not know what to do, so I got brave instantly and asked a lady who was walking by me if I could use her phone and told her the situation. She called 911. Since there is a fire dept 2 minutes away from walmart they were there with the lights and sirens on within minutes. I had 2 cop cars, 2 fire trucks, and 1 ambulance to my resue. The fire deptartment got one side open while the cops go the other open. They gave me my keys where I got the car turned on and the air going. Then I carry bottles of water in my car, so I opened up 3 and poured some on the kids and had them drink some. The fire dept said that the car was 105 degrees inside. They stayed a few minutes more to make sure the children were okay and then they all left. I felt stupid but also grateful that Heavenly Father was watching over the children and that I was able to get help quickly. I hope that it never happens again.

I hope that next June, I will not have anything major happen.
