Since spring and summer, there has been construction in two major roads that I use for travel to get to and from the Sandy/Draper area.
First, is the interchange at 11400 S. and 1-15 and then they are widening the road on 1300 East from 7600 S. to 8600 S. So no matter, I have to hit construction, granted that I work on 10300 S. and 1300 E.
Second, about a month ago they started to expand the freeway at 10600 S. to 9000 S heading North and 1-215 interchange to 9000 S. heading South.
This week, I ran into construction anywhere I went.
Tuesday when I went to work, I found they were working on 10600 S and between 700 E and 1000 E.
Wed, I had a dentist appointment on 7800 S. and just one block west of State Street. So I took Redwood Road to 7800 and headed east, but when I got to Midvale City Center, I hhad to detour.
Thursday, I had to be at work at 3am, so when I got off at 10600 S. and headed east to 1300 E, I was stopped at a red light at 700 E. (Where they were doing some night construction), and because if it, the kight never changedm so I had to detour. Luckily I grow up in the area, so I knew my way around.
Friday was the worse. I got off work at 1pm and headed toward Draper park where my in-laws live just east of it about a block and when I got to almost 12300 S. I ran into construction next to my husbands' old store. They reduced it to 1 lane going south. It took me 4 lights to get through. I noticed a sign down toward the "round-about" (Which Draper loves) would be closed on Sunday. (Thank goodness I do not live there right now, and good luck to my in-laws getting around). There were cones all the way passed Draper park. When I got the kids and headed home, I knew that going back to 12300 S using 1300 E. would be a nightmare, so I used the round-about to go down Pioneer and to 900 E. I used 900 E. to get to 12300 S. so I could get on the freeway, but from 900 E. to 700 E was more construction. By the time I got home, I was done driving construction, so I stayed home.
Today, I took my kids to my parents to play and have them help my parents with minor yard work. I used the freeway, but got off at 10600 S instead of 12300 S, because the freeway was being reduced one lane for the 11400 S. Construction. and there was already slow downs and delays. Coming home, I decide not to get on in Draper to advoid the 11400 S. construction and get on at 10600 S, but found lane restrictions on State from 11000 S. to almost 10600 S.
If I did not have to go to Sandy/Draper for work or either one of our parents, I would not drive there for awhile. I have had enough construction then I can handle.
